The road is worse maintained than surrounding climbs such as Volterraio (both sides). I didn't find it particularly enjoyable as a 'training' climb that is a little uneven, with long stretches with a derisory gradient, but the road is instead very appreciable for the views and landscapes it passes through. This part of Elba is in fact quite wild

Strada tenuta peggio rispetto a salite circostanti come Volterraio (entrambi i versanti). Non l’ho trovata particolarmente godibile come salita ‘allenante ‘ un po’ irregolare, con lunghi tratti a pendenza irrisoria ma la strada si fa invece molto apprezzare per gli scorci e paesaggi che attraversa. Questa parte di Elba è infatti abbastanza selvaggia
