The climb starts off quite easy, but there's a very steep section in the middle. My Garmin was showing 20% gradient at times and it certainly felt like it. There are actually two such walls close together, so you have to be careful or risk blowing up (like I did).
Not much scenery for the most part, since there's mostly just forest, but you do go through a village or two and a few open fields. Hardly any traffic.
The end is actually the best part as you wind your way until you reach the church.
If you want a more relaxed option, check out the alternative route. It has more traffic, but the road is wide and never very steep.
