Smooth and not particularly difficult ascent to Aeschlen. Then there is a flat section up to Erizbüel and suddenly to the right begins a straight kilometer that can leave you traumatised. The parking slots of the farms are the rare chances that allow you to stop and get back on the saddle if you have had to dismount (as happened to me). What makes the climb even more difficult are some drainage channels. You encounter no traffic after Aeschlen. Beautiful views of Lake Thun and the Bernese Alps that you can enjoy before and after the wall.
