It's a beautiful climb, especially since the road is closed to cars, except for locals who drive tourists to the hills. They, in turn, know that they are driving on the road along with the cyclists. The gorge has extremely steep sections in the 'closed' part, which is gravel road, but the gravel roads in Austria are perfectly smooth, so no problem at all for all kind of bikes. Already the beginning of the gravel section is very steep, immediately after the lockdown it has a wonderful 18%. Most of the climb runs through the forest and is therefore suitable even in the middle of summer. The climb has two straightenings in the steep section, and even a small descent is on the way. The end of the climb is at the bridge over the river, which flows from one of the Krimml waterfalls (from the most mighty). Park your bike (it's wise to have a lock) and walk two hundred meters ahead, where there is a viewpoint for the waterfall. The trail continues up to Achental. Awesome!
