Mild and steady climb I can really recommend for climbing trainings. The road surface is perfect! There was significant traffic, but I rode during sunny Sunday. There are many sections with trees which give shadow.. Pleasant views with great landscapes and the stream flows nearby. Check the video from climb: https://youtu.be/4gDvc-vQKgA
The pass road was completely resurfaced in summer 2022 and is currently (July 2023) in excellent condition. Often very little traffic during the week. Worthwhile in both directions.
Superb climb from Badenweiler! Tough for 10km with a few stretches that crack 10%. Thanks to the last 2km! But ridden on a Sunday, this climb is TOP! even if the road is narrow, there were few cars. The road has been resurfaced! it's a pleasure to "slide" on it! It took us 1 hour to climb it all! about 12km/h
Not easy! The rest of the walk is magical too!
Fine climb on a fairly wide road, didn't encounter much traffic but I rode this one in early March. I suspect many people like to drive up here in the summer with their car or motorcycle.
From the first few hairpin turns, the climb doesn't give off any percentages, although there are occasional short sections where it seems to level off a bit. Beautiful views throughout the climb.
First part runs through the forest, there the road is worse by many repair pieces asphalt, with descents just watch out. The second part, which begins a few kilometers before Simitz is more open landscape with beautiful views into the valley. Here, the road becomes wider and very good asphalt. The climb itself is very even without really steep pieces.
