As you can see on the Climbfinder route map, one of the many climbs, just outside the city centre of Aarschot, starting with the very steep red brick wall of the Vestingstraat (with descending car traffic!!!). After cycling flat over the beginning of the wide Braekepoort (where several roads converge) it goes diagonally right between the newly built houses, climbing steeply again to level off at the end of the dead end street. Off road you can continue to the steps that lead to the Orleanstore... read more

Off road you can continue to the steps that lead to the Orleanstoren, also sometimes called the Aurelianus tower, hidden between the trees. One of the few remnants of the old city walls, offering a view of the city.

Especially a very steep climb at the edge of the center of Aarschot.
The start is at the Diestsestraat and the climb starts very steep the first 150 meters as you turn onto the Kauterberg. After that a little breather on the Braekepoort but immediately you can start pushing the pedals again when you go diagonally right up to the Orleanstoren. You certainly shouldn't do it for nature because it is completely built up and the Kauterberg is a busy one-way street with traffic in the opposite direction.
The traffic to the Orleanstoren is almost nil. This is a climb for those who like steep walls .
