Great physical challenge and generally just a nice, traffic-free climb. However, do not be tricked by this climb's displayed profile; the average gradients over the 500 m sections do not do justice to the very irregular, stepped profile. For example, instead of 500 m at steady gradients of 10-11%, I would say that the gradients alternate between approximately 250 m of 5-7% and 250 m of 13-15%, so bring your smallest gears.

Also, still best to be avoided during noon in the beginning of October. The climb is sufficiently difficult without the following conditions: windless, 26-28 °C, +70% relative humidity and of course a burning sun in a clear blue sky.
