As negative as others are I am not. Nice and difficult at the start but fortunately it flattens out. The forest is very beautiful and at the top you get a nice view on top.... read more

First part is very steep, fortunately it levels off after 400 metres. Steep part is fortunately in the forest so you are still sheltered by the trees. Once out of the forest, the climb is not so steep anymore

As the Vennbahn tunnel is closed to protect bats, the famous cycle route crosses the mountain here. If you cycle the Vennbahn to avoid the slopes, this is a disappointing stretch, quite steep at the beginning. Outside the forest it is no longer steep and you pass the border with Luxembourg. At the top you are close to Luxembourg's highest point, Kneiff. No particular climb, but so unavoidable if you cycle the Vennbahn. No cars's on the route.
