A nice climb up among mostly vineyards, from the banks of the Moselle. In terms of asphalt, the climb does come to a dead end but after the climb the road continues (for those who like it) as a gravel road. Even the asphalt section offers enough to take in anyway because after a leisurely run-up you reach a shelter hut and then suddenly see the road steeply up into the forest. Here it takes some real effort and the steep section goes on just a bit longer than you might think. At the top, very nice views over the Moselle valley and towards Traben-Trarbach. The remaining part is out cycling. Mostly good asphalt.
Overwegend redelijk asfalt.
