Short variant of the climb from Montzen. This climb starts at the fishpond. After about 700 metres at the junction, keep right towards the forest. As you dive into the forest, you will face the steepest part and it will take some effort to get to the top. If you don't dare to tackle the climbing part in the forest: then turn left at the edge of the forest and go down Rue Vivier and then via the climb of Rue de la Vallée/Rue Charlemagne to Henri-Chapelle. ... read more

Nice climb through the field, but in the forest it gets vicious. Not to be underestimated. I found the road surface not too bad, but perhaps to be avoided in bad weather. Definitely recommended

Very nice climb through meadows and fields. After a warm-up, you enter the forest, where the climb really begins. You have to work very hard for half a kilometre on a bad path in quiet surroundings.

Beautiful climb with a viciously steep tail in t forest. Also look back along the way, the views are stunning. The Ravel 39 from Plombieres is a nice run-up to this climb.

Delightful climb with a combination of beautiful scenery and really good downhill work. The climb starts at the fish ponds at Château de Graaf after which the road winds up along a farm. At the T-junction turn right where at the farm there is a very bad piece of road (for the rest it is mostly doable but watch out for descents). Here are beautiful views in all directions. When you enter the forest, the fun about the beautiful surroundings turns into climbing fun because the road after the side road immediately goes up hard. The road to Henri-Chapelle runs over the crest of a ridge and offers wide open views on both sides. A real pleasure.

Echt genieten.

I agree with Go13 that this is the nicest variant of the climb. Shorter but steeper and a more exciting environment. Do. The last kilometer is identical to the Kinkenweg version, which remains terribly tough.
