Short uphill and not too difficult climb in the centre of Kelmis on the main road from Henri-Chapelle. If you come from the Moresnet/Henri-Chapelle side and want to head towards Hergenrath v.v., the built-up area of Kelmis offers several more enjoyable (climbing) options than this climb.
Korte oplopende en niet te moeilijke klim in het centrum van Kelmis op de doorgaande weg vanuit Henri-Chapelle. Als je uit de kant van Moresnet/Henri-Chapelle komt en richting Hergenrath v.v. wilt gaan dan biedt de bebouwde kom van Kelmis diverse leukere (klim)mogelijkheden dan deze klim.
Slowly steepening main road. Road is well designed, so that it is not possible to drive fast. However, it can be relatively busy with cars's so that you are often overtaken. Not a nice climb, where possible I try to avoid this N3 as much as possible.
Langzaam steiler wordende doorgaande weg. Weg is goed ingericht, zodat er niet hard gereden kan worden. Wel kan het relatief druk zijn met auto's waardoor je veel ingehaald wordt. Geen mooie klim, waar mogelijk probeer ik deze N3 zoveel mogelijk te mijden.
A straight climb up that lies like a ramp in front of you and gets steeper until just below the top. This is the main road through La Fontaine but the road has been modified (two separate lanes now) so that it is not a race track for cars (anymore). So people are driving properly. The climb passes the museum of Kelmis.
Een rechte klim omhoog die als een schans voor je uit ligt en steeds steiler wordt tot vlak onder de top. Dit is de doorgaande weg door Kelmis maar de weg is aangepast (nu twee losse rijstroken) zodat het geen racebaan voor auto's (meer) is. Er wordt dan ook netjes gereden. De klim komt o.a. langs het museum van Kelmis.
