Since the adjusted traffic situation, traffic congestion on Keizersberg has eased tremendously. Now only local traffic is allowed there, which greatly relieves the surrounding area.
The hill in itself has remained the same. Straightforwardly opening the throttle and popping up the big slab as fast as possible should not be a problem for anyone.
Sinds de aangepaste verkeerssituatie is de verkeersdrukte op de Keizersberg enorm geluwd. Nu mag daar enkel plaatselijk verkeer rijden, hetgeen de omgeving enorm ontlast.
De heuvel op zich is nog steeds hetzelfde gebleven. Rechttoe-rechtaan de gas opentrekken en zo snel mogelijk naar boven knallen op de grote plaat zou voor niemand een probleem mogen vormen.

For the many students this is more of a calvary but it is doable for sporty cyclists.
Three gentle curves uphill to the right, bordered by the wall of the Keizersberg Abbey and the tops of the trees in the surrounding park. Followed by, after cycling under the ring bridge, a right turn for the last few metres in Albert Woutersstraat.
This Mechelsestraat (the real street name of the slope) used to be the funnel through which all (heavy) traffic entered/exited Leuven city centre. Thanks to the ring road and the city circulation plan that limits cars within this zone, there is much less traffic now,
Climbing route is a fixed component in the local rounds of the annual professional cycling race, Grote Prijs Jef Scherens, and was also included in the local loop of the 2021 World cycling championship.

Voor de vele studenten eerder een calvarieberg maar best te doen voor sportieve fietsers.
Drie zachte bochten bergop langs rechts afgeboord met de omheiningsmuur van de Abdij Keizersberg en de toppen van de bomen in het park errond. Gevolgd door, na het onderdoor fietsen van de ringbrug, rechtsaf de laatste oplopende meters in de Albert Woutersstraat.
Vroeger was deze Mechelsestraat (de echte straatnaam van de helling) de trechter waardoor alle (zwaar) verkeer Leuven centrum kwam binnen/buiten gedenderd. Dankzij de ring en het stadscirculatieplan dat auto's beperkt binnen deze zone is er nu veel minder verkeer,
Klimroute is vast onderdeel in de plaatselijke rondes van de jaarlijkse beroepsrennerswedstrijd Grote Prijs Jef Scherens en was tevens opgenomen in de plaatselijke lus van het WK wielrennen 2021.
