It is an isolated climb from the main road, I would say this for sure is a hidden gem, it brings you high up in Linden with a great view at the top towards Pellenberg, the climb starts pretty steep and eases of near the end, for sure a recommendation.
This slope I had never done before.
I find the first part via Kortestraat a bit superfluous. At the junction with Houwaartstraat, you have to close everything anyway because it is fairly busy there. You can then start the climb via this busier lane.
In the Bovenstraat, you immediately see the road going up steeply. Fantastic asphalt layer that helps a bit. At the next bend, turn right and you'll see another steep stretch looming. If you still have good papers, you can turn on again here, otherwise it's draining.
You see some chalets here and there and felt like I was riding in the Vosges.
At the top you have one last stretch of "false flat" where I had a headwind. One last kink and then you come back on the Houwaartstraat.
Nice alternative! Quieter road also via this slope.
Deze helling had ik nog nooit gedaan.
Het eerste stuk via de Kortestraat vind ik wat overbodig. Je moet aan het kruispunt met de Houwaartstraat toch alles dichtgooien omdat het er redelijk druk is. Je kan de klim dan aanvatten via deze drukkere baan.
In de Bovenstraat zie je de weg meteen steil omhoog gaan. Fantastische asfaltlaag die wat helpt. In de volgende bocht ga je naar rechts en zie je nog een steile strook opdoemen. Als je nog goede papieren hebt, kan je hier nog eens aanzetten, anders is het afzien.
Je ziet hier en daar wat chalets en had het gevoel dat ik in de Vogezen aan het rijden was.
Boven heb je nog een laatste strook "vals plat" waar ik wind tegen had. Een laatste knikje en dan kom je terug op de Houwaartstraat.
Leuk alternatief! Rustigere weg ook via deze helling.
One of the beautiful climbs in the Linden region .
Start via short approach in the eponymous "Kortestraat".
After crossing the wide Houwaartstraat on the left, steep straight wall follows which then continues on the right between the villas's on the ridge. Flattening out to highest point.
Barely any traffic!

Eén van de mooie klimmetjes in de regio Linden .
Start via korte aanloop in gelijknamige "Kortestraat".
Na links rechts oversteken van de brede Houwaartstraat volgt steile rechte muur die nadien rechtsdraaiend vervolgt tussen de villa's op de heuvelrug. Afvlakkende uitloper naar hoogste punt.
