The final "Rampe" deserves its name! This climb is taken, as reported by Franckydoop, by the Eddy Merckxroute, but in the downhill direction, just before approaching the Paterberg. It shakes!
On the way up, this is one of the difficulties of the Kwaremont Sluitingsprijs, which usually closes the Proximus Cycling Challenge.

The Kalkhoveberg, or also called Rampe, is a small mountain between the Oude Kwaremont and the Paterberg that shouldn't be missed when doing a ride here. It starts on an asphalt road and eventually turns into cobblestones. The last hundred meters go up to almost 20％ percentage of climb that creeps into your legs. It is part of the Eddy Merckx cycle route but in the opposite direction, you have to go down the mountain and this is no mean feat, especially on the steepest part. Like so many little known mountains here in the region it's a hidden gem that should be better known, or maybe not, so it stays nice and quiet.
De Kalkhoveberg, of ook wel Rampe genoemd, is een bergje tussen de Oude Kwaremont en de Paterberg dat niet mag ontbreken wanneer je hier een ritje doet. Het begint over een asfaltweg om uiteindelijk over te gaan in bij momenten erbarmelijk liggende kasseien. De laatste honderd meter gaan tot bijna 20％ stijgingspercentage die behoorlijk in de benen kruipen. Maakt deel uit van de Eddy Merckx fietsroute maar dan in de omgekeerde richting, je moet de berg naar beneden en dat is over deze slecht dokkerende kasseien geen sinecure, zeker niet op het steilste stuk. Het is zoals zoveel te weinig gekende bergjes hier in de streek een verborgen pareltje dat meer bekendheid zou mogen genieten, of misschien juist niet, dan blijft het er lekker rustig.
