I started the climb from Nussdorf, after skirting the Danube, so it begins to climb for over a kilometre before reaching the charming village of Grinzing. I really wanted to do this climb as I've often been to Vienna and always stayed in these districts at the foot of the Kahlenberg. The climb itself isn't difficult if you're in reasonable physical condition and cycle regularly. Be careful on the way down, as the cobbles are not always in good condition. At the top, there is a beautiful view of the city of Vienna.
