Jaufental/Valle di Giovo is one of the side valleys that branch off from the big Eisack valley that you can enter from Vipiteno/Sterzing, a beautiful town in the bilingual Italian part of the country.
Start of the climb is at the roundabout in Casateia/Gasteig, just outside your starting town. Initially the same route as the touristy busy Jaufenpas/Monte Giovo (see climbfinder) where we turn left immediately to climb up the first steep gorge of the Jaufentalerbach/Rio Giovo river. The route with its gradually increasing gradient and hardly any traffic runs via gentle curves from village to village (Ausserthal-Mitterthal-Obertal) always close to the wide mountain stream.
Final kilometers with 5 very steep hairpin bends bring us to the end of the road at the last farm of the hamlet Casalupa/Schluppes.

The valley of rest" as described in tourist guide is a beautiful mountain environment for cycling!
