An easier way up to the Fawley - Turville Heath - Christmas Common route than Benham's Lane, and very pleasant. It takes a while to get going, but the surroundings are nice: through country estate land and then woodlands. Not quite as nice as Benham's Lane but not far off. When It does finally get steep the steep part doesn't last for long, so this climb might be considered as a good one for tired legs, and possibly offering the least tough route back over the Chilterns....read more
