Climb with fluctuating percentages starting on the little bridge over the Geul. The first section up to the junction with Bommerigerweg feels syrupy during the climb. On Bommerigerweg, you ride flat for a while before turning left onto Akerstraat for the second part of the climb. The summit is at the junction where the summit of Kleeberg and Elzeterberg is also.
Klim met fluctuerende percentages die begint op het bruggetje over de Geul. Het eerste stuk tot aan de splitsing met de Bommerigerweg voelt stroperig aan tijdens de klim. Op de Bommerigerweg rij je even vlak voordat je linksaf de Akerstraat opgaat voor het tweede deel van de klim. De top ligt op de kruising waar ook de top van Kleeberg en Elzeterberg is.
A climb that feels more difficult than it is described. This is probably due to the length and the constantly changing gradients. But you are rewarded with beautiful views. You should watch out for oncoming traffic on the narrow and poorly visible road.
Anstieg, der sich schwieriger anfühlt, als er beschrieben ist. Dies liegt wohl an der Länge und den ständig wechselnden Prozenten. Dafür wird man mit schönen Ausblicken belohnt. Man sollte bei der engen und schlecht einsehbaren Straße auf Gegenverkehr aufpassen.
No heavy climbs but the variable percentages in combination with the length makes you feel this climb. The first part is very scenic. Then follows a part between hedges where there is not much to see. At the top there are some views. Straight on towards Vijlen is a nice varied route.
Geen zware hellingen maar de variabele percentages in combinatie met de lengte laat je deze klim wel voelen. Het eerste deel is landschappelijk erg fraai. Daarna volgt een deel tussen heggen waar niet veel te zien valt. Bovenin zijn er wel wat uitzichten mogelijk. Rechtdoor richting Vijlen is een mooi gevarieerde route.
Ridden this climb last summer. It is the milder variant than the Camerig to get to Vijlen/Vaals. Percentages are not extreme, but it is like the Camerig an interval climb. And you will feel that before you get to Vijlen.

Deze beklimming afgelopen zomer gereden. Het is de mildere variant dan de Camerig om in Vijlen /Vaals te komen. Percentages zijn niet extreem, maar het is net als de Camerig een interval klim. En dat ga je wel voelen eer je in Vijlen bent.
Als je dan onderweg even de tijd neemt om een paar foto,s te maken dan zie je een prachtige glooiende omgeving met het Vijlenerbos op de achtergrond.
Kleeberg, Hurpesch, Elzeterberg and actually also Bommerigerweg climb to the same point. The surroundings are beautiful and very quiet, so which variant you take doesn't matter that much. I myself have a slight preference for Hurpetsch and Bommerigerweg which connects to it.
Kleeberg, Hurpesch, Elzeterberg en eigenlijk ook Bommerigerweg klimmen tot hetzelfde punt. De omgeving is schitterend en heel rustig, dus welke variant je neemt maakt niet zo heel veel uit. Zelf heb ik een lichte voorkeur voor Hurpetsch en Bommerigerweg die daar op aansluit.
