Nice steep climb, definitely recommended! Good road surface

Goed wegdek

Very steep thing - road surface is only moderate, so definitely do not descend this one - when climbing, this is not a problem. You look straight ahead and see a real wall appear. Beware: you're not there yet after this stretch. Right behind the corner it also runs briskly. Especially in combination with les Plachettes really tricky.

Nice climb to do. Is quite steep because it goes straight. The road is narrow but the tarmac is ok. There is not necessarily a wide view but the scenery is still beautiful. I like to include this one in a ride.

Turn up and immediately the steepness becomes clear. Straight ahead climbing to overcome the steeper percentages. If you are aiming for a good time, you should still have some energy left to conquer the spur.

More difficult than it seems, the wall presents itself to us and we can see that it climbs steeply
Road in good condition

The percentages seem to me to lean against the 20% in short pieces.... Very nice climb. Very nice road too

Short but steep, steepest 100 meters at 14.2% is correct but in the faint turn you go a lot above, really raking a few meters. Rough road surface and little view. When you get to the main road you can immediately turn left and continue to Bois de la Houppe.

If you want to do something else than the classic climbs in the Flemish Ardennes, I advise you to do a loop through the Pays des Collines where you can successively do Bois de la Houppe, Hurdumont and Les Plachettes. These 3 climbs are all within a handkerchief from each other, so not much time to recuperate!
Personally, I found the Hurdumont the toughest: the climb is actually 1 steep part where you can't hide behind anything and you just have to trudge up until the top. The quality of the road surface is moderate, but you can be glad that there is no cobblestone here!

One of the stiffer climbs in the Walloon "Pays des Collines". It is visited by the "Grinta Challenge - La Tournay".
