Another surprisingly fun climb in the Brabant Kouters. Easy to do, quiet in terms of traffic and nice views.
Weer een verrassend leuke klim in de Brabantse Kouters. Makkelijk te doen, rustig qua verkeer en mooi uitzicht.
Quiet climb, starts steep and then flattens out. After the left turn, it rises again. Nice views all around and of the castle to the left of the climb. This climb is usually very quiet with little traffic, the road surface is not super as it is aged concrete slabs.
Rustige klim, begint steil en vlakt daarna af. Na de linkse bocht loopt het weer op. Mooie uitzichten rondom en op het kasteel links van de beklimming. Deze klim is doorgaans zeer rustig met weinig verkeer, het wegdek ligt er niet super bij, aangezien het om verouderde betonplaten gaat.
Fun and beautiful climb! Definitely cycle past here. As already mentioned, there is a slightly less steep section in the middle. The road surface is often wet in places in the first 200m of the climb (even on dry days). Water flows across the road (between 2 fields) in a few places every time it rains but don't let that stop you! Often it's just a few wet spots.
Leuke en mooie klim! Zeker eens langs hier fietsen. Zoals al gezegd zit er een iets minder steil stuk in het midden. Het wegdek is wel vaak op sommige plaatsen nat de eerste 200m van de klim (ook op droge dagen). Het water stroomt telkens op een paar plaatsen dwars over de weg (tussen 2 akkers) als het regent maar laat dat je niet tegen houden! Vaak zijn het maar enkele natte plekken.
I like this one very much because it is on a nice road between the fields. You can also see the course of this road very well. The climb in the beginning rises nicely. Then you come to a turn and there you can catch your breath and then start the last piece up. Once you're at the top and have taken the curve to the left, the climb is over.
This I always pass when I'm in the neighborhood.
Deze vind ik een zeer leuke omdat deze op een mooie weg tussen de velden ligt. Je kan ook het verloop van deze weg goed zien. De klim in het begin stijgt lekker. Dan kom je bij een bocht en daar kan je even op adem komen om vervolgens aan het laatste stuk naar boven te beginnen. Eenmaal je boven bent en de bocht naar links hebt genomen is de klim afgelopen.
Deze passeer ik altijd als ik in de buurt ben.
Goes up in steps: then steep, then a lot better. Lasts a while too, once you think you've made it... Great climb with nice view at the top!
Gaat in trapjes omhoog: dan weer steil, dan weer een stuk beter lopend. Blijft ook nog even duren, eens je denkt dat je er vanaf bent... Toffe klim met mooi uitzicht boven!
Nice to combine after the Moretteberg. At the top you follow the road to the left and then turn right to descend the Mazier. Then keep right and ride up the Hoogpoort.
Leuk om te combineren na de Moretteberg. Daar boven volg je links even de steenweg en sla je dan rechts in om de Mazier naar beneden te rijden. Vervolgens hou je rechts aan en rijd je de Hoogpoort naar omhoog.
