Climb from Elckenrade to Honthem. The first part rises gradually and in the middle you descend a bit. Then it rises slightly again towards Honthem without becoming really difficult.
Klim vanuit Elckenrade naar Honthem. Het eerste deel loopt geleidelijk op en in het middenstuk daal je wat. Daarna loopt het weer licht op richting Honthem zonder dat het echt lastig wordt.
The poison of this climb is clearly in the beginning. The first few hundred metres rise clearly from a nice little valley. Just before the farm, the road flattens out and a slight descent follows. The following part has clearly less impact than the first part and is more about cycling up to the highest point (just after the sign "built-up area"). In the middle part there is a beautiful view over the valley next to you and some houses of Honthem. The first part is also beautiful. Good road.
Het "venijn" (voor zover je daarvan kan spreken) van deze klim zit duidelijk in het begin. De eerste paar honderd meter lopen duidelijk omhoog vanuit een leuk dalletje. Iets voor de boerderij vlakt het af waarna een licht afdaling volgt. Het stuk daarna heeft duidelijk minder impact als het eerste deel en betreft meer uitfietsen tot het hoogste punt (iets na het bord "bebouwde kom"). In het middelgedeelte fraai uitzicht over het dal naast je en een aantal huizen van Honthem. Ook het begingedeelte is landschappelijk mooi. Goede weg.
