Boring climb of over 2 kilometres on the main road from Schinnen to Hommert/Amstenrade. On leaving Schinnen, you turn onto a separate cycle path. The steepest part is in the built-up area of Schinnen. As soon as you leave the village it is false flat until the top.
Saaie klim van ruim 2 kilometer over de doorgaande weg vanuit Schinnen naar Hommert/Amstenrade. Bij het uitrijden van Schinnen ga je een vrijliggend fietspad op. Het steilste stuk ligt in de bebouwde kom van Schinnen. Zodra je het dorp uitrijdt is het tot de top vals plat.
A not very pleasant climb. The first part in Schinnen is a nice climb but there you ride on a very narrow bicycle lane while the road is quite busy. Further on it becomes a bike path but because of tree roots you bounce on the asphalt. After the side road to Oirsbeek the climb is over but then you still have a long way to go (the bike path is better then). In the second part there are nice views, especially to the right.
Een niet heel aangename klim. Het eerste deel in Schinnen klimt nog wel aardig maar daar rijd je over een heel smal fietsstrookje terwijl de weg best druk is. Verderop wordt het een fietspad maar door boomwortels stuiter je over het asfalt. Na de zijweg naar Oirsbeek is het wel over met de klim maar dan moet je nog een lang stuk (het fietspad wordt dan wel weer beter). In het tweede deel wel aardig uitzicht, vooral naar rechts.
