Niet heel lang maar best een leuke beklimming. Prettig stijgingspercentage, goed wegdek, leuke bochten en een mooie omgeving :)
Not too difficult climb from Hergenrath to Astenet. The climb starts when you cross the bridge of the Göhl. It rises slowly for the first few hundred metres. Just past the turn-off (left) to the Hammerweg, the steepest part starts and runs until the point where you have a house to the left and right of the road. After this, it flattens out until the top at the junction with the Königsweg.
Niet te moeilijke klim vanuit Hergenrath naar Astenet. De klim start als je de brug van de Göhl overgaat. De eerste paar honderd meter loopt het langzaam op. Net voorbij de afslag (links) naar de Hammerweg begint het steilste deel en dat loopt tot het punt waar je links en rechts van de weg een huis hebt staan. Hierna vlakt het tot de top op de splitsing met de Königsweg af.
When the climb really starts (after the second bridge) it becomes a reasonable runner on a nice winding road. However, it can be very busy and because overtaking is difficult because of the many bends, the cars stay behind you for a while. First part runs through a forest and then the road between meadows with sometimes nice views. Good asphalt.
Als de klim echt begint te klimmen (na de tweede brug) wordt het een redelijke loper over een mooi slingerende weg. Wel kan het erg druk zijn en omdat inhalen lastig is vanwege de vele bochten blijven de auto's even achter je hangen. Eerste deel loopt door een bos en daarna loopt de weg tussen weilanden met soms leuk uitzicht. Goed asfalt.
