You can take this climb if you are busy with the Rettenbachferner. The first 2.5 km are equal to this challenge. After that you turn off towards Hochsölden. The climb has similar percentages (11-12) to the glacier climb, but is much shorter.
The last part of the climb you have to climb a few hundred meters to 16-17 meters.
In short, a warming-up climb at the start of a holiday...

When Sölden was the base of my hiking & biking holiday this climb was originally meant as a warming up climb. When leaving the famous ski resort turn right from the main road towards Obergurgl / Timmelsjoch.
The first few kilometres, double-digit steepness, you cycle for a while on the wide Otztaler Gletscherstrasse to Rettenbach- and Tiefenbachferner which you leave at hairpin bend no.3. This is followed by 4 km on a narrow road, climbing steeply through the pine forest with hairpin bends and a short tunnel, but with beautiful panoramic views of the eternally snow-covered peaks of the Otztal.
The asphalt road stops at a chairlift station at the end of the village, after you have cycled down the very steep main street through the compact hotel colony (then undergoing renovation and new construction).
In summer, very little traffic because Hochsölden is mainly aimed at winter sports enthusiasts.

This was no climb but a short powerful steep challenge that could count!
