The road begins to climb gently, with a decent surface in the village. Then you have to turn right onto a road in very poor condition, which climbs very steeply for a short stretch. You then return to the main road, but it's still in poor condition. Worth the diversions nonetheless... read more

From the pretty village of Soiron, a local connecting road (so there is some traffic) leads out of the village, but soon you turn right onto a very narrow and quite steep road with rather poor tarmac at best. Incidentally, the tarmac on that road is also poor, although there is a patch of reasonable tarmac on the right-hand side. Nice view to the back, though.
