Nice climb this! The part over the Bosweg is not so much in terms of percentages, but ensures that the legs are already put to work prior to the 'final' of this climb; The Hommelseweg. From the bend onwards, the percentages increase in such a way that your heart rate is guaranteed to shoot up, and you are also treated to very beautiful surroundings (Klarenbeek Park). All in all, this is definitely a recommendable climb to take from the centre of Arnhem, for example if you are on your way to the Zijpenberg.
Leuke klimmetje dit! Het gedeelte over de Bosweg stelt in eerste instantie niet zoveel voor qua percentages, maar zorgt er voor dat de benen al wel aan het werk worden gezet voorafgaand aan de 'finale' van deze klim; De Hommelseweg. Vanaf de bocht lopen de percentages dusdanig op dat je je hartslag gegarandeerd omhoog schiet, maar als je even gas geeft ben je vanaf hier vrij snel boven. Tijdens de volledige klim wordt je getrakteerd op een erg mooie omgeving ( de bosweg loopt langs park Klarenbeek). Al met al is dit zeker een aanrader om mee te pikken vanuit het centrum van Arnhem, bijvoorbeeld als je op doortocht bent naar de Zijpenberg.

Once in the forest you turn right and it becomes slowly steep, the road turns into bricks. Great! Unfortunately, you are soon at the top.
Vette nijlpaard heet dit dus, oke ;) Inderdaad vet, maar ook attractief. Vanuit een drukke doorgaande weg sla je af naar een kalm heuvelachtige weggetje. Het had net zo goed de Eifel kunnen zijn, want je wordt in het dal ook getrakteerd op een mooi uitzicht naar boven. Eenmaal in het bos sla je rechtsaf en het wordt langzaam steil, de weg gaat over in klinkers. Geweldig! Helaas ben je al snel boven.
