From the centre you have to cycle for a while on the road (which can be busy) but soon you turn right on a cycle path that goes up along a straight road. For so in Geilenkirchen it is quite a climb but you don't have to make a detour. The cycle path consists of well laid bricks, the first part of asphalt.
Vanuit het centrum moet je even over de weg (die druk kan zijn) fietsen maar al snel ga je rechtsaf een fietspad op die langs een rechte weg naar boven gaat. Voor zo in Geilenkirchen best een aardig hellinkje maar je hoeft er niet voor om te rijden. Het fietspad bestaat uit goed gelegde klinkers, het eerste deel uit asfalt.
