Whereas the "regular" climb via the main road flattens out after passing Kalborn, this climb is a lot more vicious because - after turning left into a small road - you descend for a bit before climbing again. And that is also the steepest part of the climb, which also passes through beautiful surroundings. Combined with the beautiful first part on the winding main road with sometimes beautiful views, this makes for an exceptionally enjoyable climb.
Waar de "reguliere" klim via de hoofdweg afvlakt na het passeren van Kalborn, is deze klim een stuk venijniger omdat je - nadat je linksaf bent geslagen een klein weggetje in - eerst een stuk afdaalt voordat je weer gaan klimmen. En dat is dan ook meteen het steilste deel van de klim, die bovendien ook nog door een fraaie omgeving loopt. Gecombineerd met het mooie eerste deel over de slingerende hoofdweg met soms fraaie uitzichten maakt dit een buitengewoon aangename klim.
