If you like challenges and steep climbs, this one is definitely not to be missed! Once you are out of the village of Hilterfingen, your GPS no longer indicates a gradient lower than 17%! Instead of 3.6km, I covered at least 6km to the top because of the continuous slalom where my front wheel often came off the ground, especially at the part where my gps indicated 26%.

It is a narrow road to the top and you only get a nice view if you are also at the top. During the climb, you can't enjoy the scenery. Only the asphalt.

With a lot of effort, I happily reached the top without having to dismount. If you have to dismount halfway up the climb, cycling further up would no longer be possible. The path is too narrow and steep to get off, pick up some speed and continue cycling straight up.

I strongly advise against descending! It is 1 long straight road down and as soon as you approach the village you get an almost right-angled turn.
