Climb between Brunssum and Landgraaf on the road located between the Ring Parkstad and the Brunssummerheide. Due to the presence of barriers, the road is pretty much car-free. Except for a steeper stretch, it is actually a fine false flat climb.
Klim tussen Brunssum en Landgraaf over de weg gelegen tussen de Ring Parkstad en de Brunssummerheide. Door de aanwezigheid van slagbomen is de weg zo goed als autoluw. Op een steiler stukje na is het eigenlijk een prima vals plat klim.
Beautifully situated road that in some places delicious meanders. Next to it is a big through highway but actually it doesn't bother you much. The climb is largely relaxed, but at the ecoduct halfway and towards the end (here in two steps) you have to work hard (relatively speaking). There are two barriers (you can easily pass) that on a large part keep the cars away. All in all certainly a pleasant experience, partly due to the beautiful scenery on the right.
Mooi gelegen weg die op sommige plekken heerlijk slingert. Er naast ligt een grote doorgaande autoweg maar eigenlijk heb je daar weinig last van. De klim is grotendeels relaxed maar bij het ecoduct halverwege en tegen het eind (hier in twee stappen) mag je toch even aanpoten (relatief gezien dan). Er zijn twee slagbomen (kan je goed langs) die op een groot gedeelte de auto's weghouden. Al met al zeker een aangename ervaring, mede door de mooie omgeving aan de rechterzijde.
Gradual climb along the outer ring road of Parkstad and the Brunssumerheide. No through traffic for cars. A little steeper piece at the wild viaduct which is now asphalted, but nowhere difficult. In the autumn many leaves on the road. In the weekend when the weather is nice it can be more crowded at the parking places.
Geleidelijke klim langs de buitenring Parkstad en de Brunssumerheide. Geen doorgaand verkeer voor auto's. Wat steiler stukje bij het wildviaduct wat inmiddels geasfalteerd is, maar nergens lastig. In de herfst veel bladeren op de weg. In het weekend bij mooi weer kan het weer drukker zijn bij de parkeerplaatsen
After the construction of the new outer ring road the climb now continues for about 200 meters, with in the middle a piece of unpaved road but nice and quiet through the forest.
na de aanleg van de nieuwe buitenring loopt de klim nu nog een kleine 200 meter door, met in het midden ook een stukje onverhard maar wel lekker rustig door het bos.
The unpaved part is now asphalted.
Het onverharde gedeelte is inmiddels geasfalteerd.
