Nice climb from the hamlet of Hegge to the plateau. Most of the ascent is in the first 500 metres. After that it is actually false flat. Earlier this year, the road was closed due to water standing on the road. The problem has since been solved.
Leuke klim vanuit het buurtschap Hegge. Met de Lindenweg, Grubbenweg en Vloedsgraaf een van de klimmogelijkheden naar het plateau richting Schimmert. Meeste stijging zit in de eerste 500 meter. Daarna is het eigenlijk vals plat. Eerder dit jaar was weg afgesloten i.v.m. water dat lang op de weg bleef staan. Probleem is inmiddels verholpen.
Beautiful and certainly "climb-worthy" road up with pretty good tarmac, although it can be covered in mud at the top. Especially the beginning part is very nice and has wide views to the right (although this can be enjoyed even better when descending). For this environment also nice and spicy. Highly recommended.
Prachtig en zeker "klimwaardig" weggetje omhoog met behoorlijk goed asfalt, al kan het bovenin wel bedekt zijn met modder. Vooral het begingedeelte is zeer fraai en heeft weids uitzicht over rechts (al is hier bij het afdalen nog beter van te genieten). Voor deze omgeving ook lekker pittig. Aanrader dus.
Perfect climb for an interval. View on the right is worthwhile. In the direction of the Central Plateau (Schimmert) I prefer this climb above Hoogveld and Hobbelrade. Have to make a small detour via Grijzegrubben.
Perfecte klim voor een interval. Uitzicht op rechts is de moeite waard. Richting het Centraal Plateau (Schimmert) prefereer ik deze klim boven Hoogveld en Hobbelrade. Moet dan wel een klein omweggetje maken via Grijzegrubben.
Nice quiet climb. For the beautiful view on the Geleenbeek valley, do look back every now and then. At the top you come to the Central Plateau. A bit steeper where you have the trees left of the road, but nowhere really steep. Road surface is ok when you cycle up.
Leuke rustige klim. Voor het mooie zicht op het Geleenbeekdal wel af en toe achterom kijken. Boven kom je op het Centraal Plateau. Wat steiler waar je de bomen hebt links van de weg, maar nergens echt steil. Wegdek ok als je omhoog fietst.
