The pitch of the slope at the beginning of the climb is fairly low and remains low all the way round the left hand bend and under the railway bridge. After the first left hand bend in the road the majority of the climb is in view which gives riders an idea of the effort needed to reach the summit. After passing under the railway bridge, and as you pass between the junction on the right and the farm on the left the gradient of the climb abruptly increases and is sustained all the way around the right, then left bend and on to the summit.

I recommend this climb. The final section will definitely get you out of your seat and make you feel good about yourself as you reach the summit!
