Diese Halde ist nicht nur durch sich änderndes Terrain spannend, sondern auch durch den Zugang zu diesem Aufstieg. Erst der latent morbide Charme vieler »lost places«, dann, wenn die Kuppe fast erreicht ist, und die Steilheit nachlässt, geht es auf den letzten wenigen Metern noch auf festgefahrenem Geröll, auf einer Mondlandschaft gleichend zum Wahrzeichen der Halde. Auf dem Gipfel befindet sich eine Installation des argentinischen Bildhauers. Von dort aus hat man einen fantastischen Weitblick über des Münsterland, beginnendes Bergische Land und der Rheinebene. Spannend ist es auch die teilweise markanten Silhouetten oder Wahrzeichen einiger Revierstätte erkennen.
