A beautiful little road through 1 of the most beautiful parts of the Veluwe. Heath, forest, no cars's: enjoyment. In terms of climbing, not really fascinating, but after a while you feel the climbing.
Een prachtig weggetje door 1 van de mooiste stukken van de Veluwe. Heide, bos, geen auto's: genieten. Qua klim niet echt boeiend, maar na een tijdje voel je het klimmen wel.
A beautiful combination of forest, wide asphalt without traffic and cycling between moors. Indeed a wonderful stoemper on the big plateau.
Een prachtige combinatie van bos, breed asfalt zonder verkeer en fietsen tussen heideheuvels. Inderdaad een heerlijke stoemper op de grote plaat.
Sometimes you have those climbs which in terms of statistics are not that bad, but it hurts just a bit more than you expect. I have that with this climb, to the hamlet of Groenendaal near the A50 motorway. The climb goes over open heathland in western direction (so often wind against) with varying gradients. The steepest part (just 5％) is when you enter the forest. Don't be surprised to see a herd of impressive Heck cattle on the asphalt. As a climb not worth a top 10 mention, but a nice road to stomp on.
Soms heb je van die klimmetjes die qua statistiek weinig voorstellen, maar die toch net iets meer pijn doen dan je verwacht. Dat heb ik bij deze klim, naar het buurtschapje Groenendaal aan de A50. De klim loopt over het open heidegebied in westelijke richting, (dus dikwijls wind tegen) met wisselende stijgingspercentages. Het steilste stuk (net 5％) kom je tegen wanneer je het bosgebied ingaat. Kijk overigens niet gek op wanneer er een kudde imposante Heckrunderen op het asfalt ligt. Als klim geen top 10 vermelding waard, maar wel een lekkere weg om te stampen.
