One of the longer climbs from Valkenburg but not really tough. As soon as you turn onto Hekerbeekstraat, the climb starts. Pass under the railway and then immediately turn right into the residential area. Outside the built-up area, it goes up gradually. The steepest part is in the forest. As soon as you enter Walem at the first houses, the climb is over.
Eén van de langere beklimmingen vanuit Valkenburg maar niet echt zwaar. Zodra je vanaf de Oosterweg de Hekerbeekstraat opgaat begint de klim al. Via het smalle tunneltje onder het spoor door en dan direct rechtsaf de woonwijk inrijden. Buiten de bebouwing gaat het geleidelijk omhoog. Het steilste stuk zit in het bos. Zodra je bij de eerste huizen Walem binnenrijdt zit te klim erop.
This is a nice climb. It is more than 2 km long, but the percentages are modest (when you pass the edge of the forest, it gets a bit steeper 7％ - but otherwise the percentages are modest).

Dit is een mooie klim. Deze is weliswaar meer dan 2km lang, maar de percentages blijven steeds bescheiden (als je de rand van het bos passeert wordt wel even steiler 7％ - maar verder zijn het steeds bescheiden percentages).

Nice climb from Valkenburg. It starts relatively steep after which it flattens out and has a short steep section in the forest. To the right beautiful view over a valley with a nice farm, to the back you can see Valkenburg. On the Goudsberg there is a bench on the right with a nice view to Valkenburg.
Technically seen a quiet climb. Scenically very beautiful.
Mooie beklimming vanuit Valkenburg. Deze begint relatief steil waarna hij afvlakt en in het bos weer even een steil stukje heeft. Naar rechts prachtig uitzicht over een dal met een fraaie boerderij, naar achteren zie je Valkenburg mooi liggen. Op de Goudsberg staat rechts een bankje met fraai doorkijkje naar Valkenburg.
Technisch gezien een rustige klim. Landschappelijk erg fraai.
Calm climb with a beautiful view, nice snack between the rough violence. As a dessert some steeper climbing through the forest towards the end.
Rustige beklimming met een prachtig uitzicht, fijn tussendoortje tussen het grovere geweld. Als toetje nog even wat steiler klimmen door het bos richting het einde.
Nice climb, not too busy, runs well, nice asphalt and there is beautiful views over the gully valley. Definitely a must if you are in the neighborhood.
Lekkere klim, niet te druk, loopt goed, mooi asfalt en er is mooi uitzicht over het geul dal. Zeker een aanrader als je in de buurt bent.
The Goudsberg is a beautiful hill. It never gets really steep, is irregular and runs through beautiful farmland. The views are beautiful. A nice climb to make a change towards the more eastern climbs!
De Goudsberg is een prachtig heuveltje. Hij wordt nooit écht steil, is onregelmatig en loopt door heel mooi boerengebied. Het uitzicht is prachtig. Een leuk klimmetje om eens anders richting de meer oostelijk gelegen klimmetjes te trekken!
Lovely climb. Not as popular as all the calf climbers in the area, but this is just a nice climb to start with for a tour of South Limburg. You get into the swing of things. And because of the length and the beautiful view, it has just a little extra's. Moreover, you have all the time to enjoy it, without toiling on insurmountable gradients....
Heerlijke klim. Niet zo populair als alle kuitenbuiters in de buurt, maar dit is gewoon een mooie klim om mee te beginnen voor een rondje Zuid-Limburg. Kom je er lekker in. En door de lengte en het prachtige uitzicht heeft hij toch net iets extra's. Bovendien heb je alle tijd om daarvan te genieten, zonder dat je aan het zwoegen bent op onoverkomelijke stijgingspercentages....
Easy climb. First you climb through the residential area of Valkenburg. Once out of town it's mostly false flat, but occasionally beautiful Limburg views.
Makkelijke klim. Allereerst klim je door de woonwijk van Valkenburg. Eenmaal uit de stad is het voornamelijk vals plat, maar wel af en toe mooi Limburgse vergezichten.
