I drove up and down this one countless times, the access road to the Flemish Ardennes from Aalst if you don't want to take the larger lanes. Very short but tough climb. You can speed up from Aaigem and then bite your tongue out on the steepest part (which is at least 10 km/h for a short section). Downshift anyway, and you better do it, or the 2% spur will hurt you. Watch out for oncoming cars, the road is quite narrow here.

Deze ben ik talloze keren naar boven en beneden gereden, de toegangsweg richting Vlaamse Ardennen vanuit Aalst als je niet de grotere banen wilt nemen. Zeer kort maar pittig klimmetje. Je kan goed je snelheid pakken vanuit Aaigem om dan je tanden stuk te bijten op het steilste gedeelte (dat zeker boven de 10% gaat voor een kort gedeelte). Terugschakelen moet je sowieso, en doe je ook maar beter, of de uitloper van 2% gaat aardig pijn doen. Let daar op voor tegenliggende auto's, weg is hier vrij smal.
