The climb up Mount Chelm is demanding, but for road cyclists it is a great test of endurance. The gradient is varied. There are sections reaching 16％, but they are not long and interspersed with easier sections. Initially, you ride among houses and forests and the road has a good surface. The biggest challenge awaits in the second part of the climb, where the gradient becomes more pronounced and the surface clearly loses quality. Good power management is key here, as the end can be really tiring. In the final section, the asphalt changes to gravel, but even on the road, it was possible to ride out in relative comfort. The views from the top are not special, but you can see Myslenice and the surrounding hills quite nicely.
Podjazd na górę Chełm jest wymagający, ale dla kolarzy szosowych stanowi świetny test wytrzymałości. Nachylenie jest zróżnicowane. Są odcinki sięgające 16％, lecz nie są długie i poprzeplatane łatwiejszymi fragmentami. Początkowo jedzie się wśród domów i lasów, a droga ma dobrą nawierzchnię. Największe wyzwanie czeka w drugiej części podjazdu, gdzie nachylenie staje się bardziej wyraźne, a nawierzchnia wyraźnie traci na jakości. Kluczowe jest tu odpowiednie zarządzanie siłami, bo końcówka może być naprawdę męcząca. Na ostatnim fragmencie asfalt zmienia się w szuter, ale nawet szosą dało się w miarę komfortowo wyjechać. Widoki z góry nie są jakieś szczególne, ale całkiem fajnie widać Myślenice i okoliczne wzniesienia.
