You can look around at leisure at the houses, shops and electricity poles along the road, as you are hardly climbing at all. False flat is all too exaggerated; very occasional ups and downs, but that's all. I found it amazing that you are a few kilometres over the border(as in Belgium) and you come across those old-fashioned electricity poles along the road again. Youth sentiment.
Je kunt op je gemakkie om je heen kijken naar de huizen, winkels en elektriciteitspalen langs de weg, want je bent nauwelijks aan het klimmen. Vals plat is al te overdreven; heel af en toe een opleving, maar daar blijft het bij. Ik vond het verwonderlijk dat je een paar kilometer over de grens bent(net als in België) en dat je die ouderwetse elektriciteitspalen weer langs de weg tegenkomt. Jeugdsentiment.

Typical German village on the border: brown houses with shutters, a very original named Gasthaus am Reichswald and a dilapidated pension. This small ribbon settlement also has a horse-riding club and some agricultural businesses. Look around you, it is a fairly flat long runner. This village street is often used to cross the Reichswald from north to south in the direction of Ven-Zelderheide or to cycle towards the climbs of the Geldenberg or Kartenspielerweg.
Typisch Duits dorp aan de grens: bruine huizen met rolluiken, een zeer origineel genaamd Gasthaus am Reichswald en een vervallen pension. Verder kent dit kleine lintdorp nog een ruitervereniging en enkele agrarische bedrijven. Kijk rustig om je heen, het is een vrij vlakke lange loper. Deze dorpsstraat wordt vaak gebruikt om het Reichswald van noord naar zuid door te steken richting Ven-Zelderheide of richting de beklimmingen van de Geldenberg of Kartenspielerweg te fietsen.
