Fairly well paced road that sometimes has temporary traffic lights on it. Traffic generally has good sightings so no crazy passes. Weather can set in quick

Take a right turn at Wanlockhead and you can go right up the road to the radar station on Lowther Hill. Adds nearly 300m of ascent and elevates this to one of the best climbs in the UK.
