This is a sweet, challenging climb on a moderate road surface. It cuts the corner from Kildonan to Helmsdale via a 'Shangri-La' like valley which spits you out on the A9 at Lothbeg, about 8kms north of Brora. Watch out for potholes on the descent, but well worth the visit.
