From Arzl, you turn left at the big junction and immediately descend via a couple of hairpin bends; so then you know right away that you will have to climb those metres again. At the bottom of the climb it immediately starts in double digits, then it flattens out a bit before treating you to a couple of tough sections. On the way, meanwhile, you have beautiful views of the Pitztal on your right. The road surface is perfect and on Sunday afternoons there is some local traffic, but certainly not disruptive. All in all, an absolute must!

Prachtige en uitdagendere alternatieve klim voor het eerste gedeelte van de de parallel gelegen Pitztaler Landesstrasse. Vanuit Arzl sla je bij de grote kruising links en daal je meteen via een paar haarspeldbochten af; dan weet je dus gelijk dat je die meters ook weer moet gaan stijgen. Onderaan de klim begint het direct in de dubbele cijfers, daarna vlakt de klim wat af om je daarna nog op één paar pittige stukken te trakteren. Onderweg heb je aan je rechterhand ondertussen prachtige uitzichten op het Pitztal. Het wegdek is perfect en op zondagmiddag is er wel wat bestemmingsverkeer, maar zeker niet storend. Al met al een absolute aanrader!
