The Oberinntal can be crowded. Fortunately, here lies this climb to....niks actually. Completely deserted. On a Tuesday morning in July, I encountered only 2 MTB cyclists. Extra treat: more than a dozen hairpin bends. And that's a lot on such a short climb. Largely Austrian steep (11 to 15%), but here also a few sections just a bit less. Much in the forest but with views at the end. At your own risk you can turn off the last hundred metres to Gpfrans, unfortunately it is gravel and the... read more

This climb should definitely not be underestimated.
It is very tough and the hairpin bends make the climb beautiful.
The locals did look strange when they saw us cycling here.

Largely Austrian steep (11 to 15%), but here also a few sections just a bit less. Much in the forest but with views at the end. At your own risk you can turn off the last hundred metres to Gpfrans, unfortunately it is gravel and there is a warning about dogs. You can also continue on tarmac for a little bit after the barrier until the junction with the gravel roads. For the descent: tarmac is good except for a few holes, but you can get around them.

Absolutely recommended if you like peace and quiet and hairpin bends.
