I cycled up here in November 2021. A beautiful steep climb with old-fashioned hairpin bends stuck to the mountainside. Besides the famous climbs like the Stelvio, Gavia and Mortirolo that you can start from Bormio, this is a fairly unknown, but fun climb. After the hamlet Fumero the tarmac stops and you can possibly on a MTB even further into the valley. Halfway through the climb you pass the village of Frontale where you can drink a coffee on the way back.
Ik ben hier in november 2021 naar boven gefietst. Een mooie steile klim met ouderwetse haarspeldbochten die tegen de bergwand zijn geplakt. Naast de bekende klimmen als de Stelvio, Gavia en Mortirolo die je vanuit Bormio kan starten is dit een vrij onbekende, maar wel leuke klim. Na het gehucht Fumero stopt het asfalt en kan je eventueel op een MTB nog verder het dal in. Halverwege de klim rijd je door het dorp Frontale waar je op de terugweg een bak koffie kan drinken.
