This ascent consists of very different parts: at the bottom of the village, it starts quite steeply into the narrow valley. After the picturesque Elsbachmühle mill on the right, the valley opens up and the route runs along the Elsbach on a wide, well-paved road. Forests and pastures alternate on both sides. After the picturesque Elsbachmühle mill on the right, the valley opens up and the route runs along the Elsbach on a wide, well-paved road. Forests and pastures alternate on both sides. After a steep hairpin bend, you come to the equally wide Eberstädter Straße, which you follow downhill for a while before turning sharp left onto a very small, steep road. The lower part is steep through the forest, then back through beautiful fields with great views, the upper part is flatter through the forest.
The ascent from Eberstadt is better developed.
