Alleen de aanrijdroute over de brug en door de tunnel (daarvoor wel een klein stuk goede gravel vanaf de weg) is al genieten. Daarna volgt een licht slingerend asfaltfietspad over een oud spoortraject door een mooie omgeving en vaak met aardig uitzicht. Verderop is het pad wel wat smal omdat de zijkant is weggeslagen en soms ligt er wat gravel op het asfalt.
