Fonteno è un bellissimo paese, quasi una terrazza sul Lago d'Iseo insieme alla frazione Xino. La salita è agevole e non presenta partiicolari asperità. La strada è in buone condizioni, c'è una bella fontana in piazza ed una panchina gigante a margine del paese. Si potrebbe proseguire la salita percorrendo la Strada Verde, ma non credo sia un percorso per bici da corsa.
