One of the many difficult climbs out of Boulogne-sur-Mer. It goes immediately steep up between the houses of the rue du Chanoine Pillons. After that the road flattens and it even goes down for a while. As soon as it enters the rue Fontaine du Bourreau, the road starts going up again, this time through the fields. A look back over our shoulders shows us that we're now above Boulogne. Of course with the Basilica of the Notre-Dame-de-l'Immaculée-Conception towering over the city. The last meters of the climb are the most difficult.
