This short but very steep climb would be great fun if it had a decent road surface. But even by Walloon standards, the tarmac is very poor. The road surface does not make the climb impossible, but it is a distracting factor.... read more

Beautiful climb but indeed really abominable asphalt that hardly deserves the name. Lots of loose gravel so really careful, especially as halfway up the climb you will probably have to put on your pedals because of the steep middle section. The scenery is really beautiful and after the bend the climb fortunately flattens out a bit, allowing you to enjoy great views at the top. Basically, you shouldn't miss this one, but it requires some guts and steering skills. Therefore 4 stars.
