Nice and varied climb towards the high airfield. In Wirtzfeld, you turn left from the main road after which you soon come up against a sturdy wall. It is really hard work here. At the top of the steep part, you turn left where the percentage drops, although the road keeps rising. At the junction with the main road (quiet and clear) more or less straight ahead. The road starts to rise again a little more and swings slightly upwards towards the airport. Especially at the top of the steep part, there is a nice view to the rear of Wirtzfeld. The road surface is reasonable, but there are a few lesser stretches (especially important when descending).
Mooi gevarieerde klim richting het hoog gelegen vliegveldje. In Wirtzfeld ga je vanaf de hoofdweg linksaf waarna je al snel tegen een stevig muurtje aan rijdt. Hier is het echt even lekker aanpoten. Bovenaan het steile gedeelte ga je linksaf waarbij het percentage keldert, al blijft de weg wel stijgen. Bij de kruising met de hoofdweg (rustig en overzichtelijk) min-of-meer rechtdoor. De weg gaat weer iets meer stijgen en slingert lichtjes omhoog richting het vliegveld. Vooral bovenaan het steile gedeelte mooi uitzicht naar achteren op Wirtzfeld. Het wegdek is redelijk, wel enkele mindere stukjes (vooral van belang bij het afdalen).
