Nice quiet climb with little traffic up to the roundabout of Dienten. These first 11 km are therefore very easy to ride.
The last 2 km from the roundabout are spicier though (average approx. 10%), and also with heavy traffic (motorbikes's racing by).

It's just what you are a fan of. I loved the climb as it was virtually car-motorbike-free. Did possibly help that it was on a Monday after the main season (September 5). The climb is quite sheltered and drop flat at first and it is treacherous to ride too fast a pace here. I unfortunately did and had to pay for it in the later steep section. The last 2km is about'n 10% of which half a kilometre is even 12.4%. As a tall Dutchman, no fun. I made a round of it via Zell am See. The route is then a nice preparation for the real climbing work like the 'Grossglockner Pass / Edelweissspitze'.

Nice climb. Quiet in traffic and a nice build-up. The end is a bit harder, but you are rewarded with a long descent to Maria Alm.

Mooie klim.
